When you think of maple syrup, do you think of Indiana, or do you go more New England?
As it turns out, there are about 100 maple syrup producers in Indiana. Who knew?
Maple Syruping takes place every February and March, and many communities build a whole festival around it.
Which brings us to King Arthur Flour Sweet Victory Challenge at the National Maple Syrup Festival in Medora, Indaina.
The National Maple Syrup Festival in Medora, Indiana takes place the first two weekends in March. It’s held at Burton’s Maplewood Farm, and will take place this year on March 2 and 3, as well as March 9 and 10. It’s a family friendly event that includes a children’s area, musical entertainment, and even a MAN EATING CHICKEN (for real- scroll down to the bottom of the activities page). Of course there will be maple syrup tapping as well. I think it’s going to blow my kids’ minds when they see sap come out of a tree.
Included in the festivities is the King Arthur Flour Sweet Victory Challenge. This is a call for recipes that feature pure maple syrup and King Arthur Flour. There’s still time to submit your recipe and be eligible to win some great prizes.
