Sesame Street Live 4 Pack of Tickets- A Giveaway

If I had to make a top ten list of things I love/remember about childhood, Sesame Street would be on that list. As a child of the 70s, I think it was pretty hard to miss back then.

Fast forward um, a lot of years, and Sesame Street is still around. I don’t know that it’s going to stand out for my kids like it did for me, but at least they know who Big Bird, Grover, Cookie Monster and Oscar are.

The weekend of March 22nd Sesame Street Live will be in Indianapolis for shows on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This year’s show, “Elmo Makes Music” does what Sesame Street does best- it’s a developmentally appropriate show for preschoolers that adults can also enjoy and appreciate. And rumor has it that “C is for Cookie” is a song in the show. I had that on my Sesame Street album circa 1977.

  1. My daughter is ALMOST too old for Sesame Street! I can see her interests turning to more “mature” things. 🙁 Want to hold on to the Sesame Street years just a little longer!

  2. I am a huge fan of Snuffy!! We often sing the rubber ducky song as well as C is for cookie around this house. Our youngest daughter is 20 months and loves to watch “Melmo” :0)

  3. My 2 year old LOVES Elmo! I have looked into getting tickets, however,it is just an expense we can’t afford right now. 🙁 Would love to see his little face light up by seeing his “friend” live and in person!

  4. My favorite memory is a recent one. We adopted 2 children from the DRC last May and desperately put on an episode one hard day this past fall. Our son is pretty delayed and doesn’t have a lot to say, but after watching the episode he started babbling and “Melmo” came out of his mouth! As he gets older, the one consistent thing he talks about is “Melmo” and it has taught our daughters lots about letters, numbers, and emotions. Sesame Street is one of the few things that is regularly welcome on our TV and we don’t feel guilty about showing our children (within limits, of course)!

  5. I had the Sesame Street album when I was growing up which shows how old I am. It was a favorite thing to play over and over again. Rubber Duckie you’re the one is a favorite at our house!

  6. I have always loved Big Bird! I wish that I had saved my hard plastic Big Bird chair that I had as a child. I would love to have tickets to take my boys to the show.

  7. We love Sesame Street. I can remember watching it as a kid. It is so fun to watch it with my little ones now as an adult. I love that I know the songs.

  9. We went to see Sesame Street Live with Princess Eldest when 8 years ago {SOB!}. My favorite moment was when the man in front of us accidentally groped B’s knee {tight seating at the Murat} thinking it was his wife’s shoulder. HILARIOUS.

  10. My daughter loves to dance to Sesame Street songs! I don’t know what it is about the Sesame Street guys but they put a smile on her face 🙂

  11. Both of my kids love Elmo, but Big Bird was always my favorite! Love the episode from long ago that followed the same story as The Gift of the Maggi but with Ernie and Bert!!
