Indiana State Museum

Indiana is rich in culture & history, and there is no better place to explore than our state museum. Located in the White River State Park area, the Indiana State Museum offers an exploration of the science, culture and history of the Hoosier state.

The museum’s main exhibit follows the history of Indiana from the beginning of the earth through the 21st century. Explore pioneer Indiana, and show your children that their chores aren’t so bad today. Also housed inside the museum is an IMAX theater which features educational films throughout the year.

The Mom says: “Step back to your childhood in the pop culture exhibit. It’s fun to show kids the toys, shows and music that were a part of your own history.”

Awesome Advice: Be sure to set aside time at the top of an hour to watch the museum’s clock. Surrounded by a winding staircase, the Foucault pendulum is a visual representation of the earth’s rotation.
