Indiana Fever Family Fun Nights (And a Giveaway!)

My summer absolutely must include an Indiana Fever game. Or four. I have loved watching these women rise through the ranks of the WNBA to be crowned champions in 2012, and being there for the final game was completely amazing.

(Bucket List: High five a stranger at a ballgame — check!)

I love everything about attending Fever games — the energy, the game, stadium food, and my tiny girl-crush on Katie Douglas. Seriously, you guys, I heart her so hard. She’s a local gal, through and through — Indianapolis born and raised, Purdue graduate, and 2012 WNBA Champion for the Indiana Fever.

She’s sidelined with an injury at the moment (along with what seems like half our team!), but I can’t wait until she’s back in the game. I want to take my sporty tween to see her play again. I’m also looking forward to showing the boy what she can do. When I first told him we were going to a WNBA game, he said, “WNBA? Isn’t that girls?!” Yes, yes it is. And wait until you see them in action!

They play with their whole hearts in a way I’ve never seen from the men. They are strong, beautiful, talented women, and I love that we have the chance right here in Indy to show our girls (and boys!) what hard work and determination can get you. Plus, it’s just solid family fun with reasonable ticket prices!

Especially their Family Nights. Every Saturday night game is a Lucas Oil Family Night presented by, starting at just $19 per person. The Family Night package features lower level tickets, a voucher for a Pepsi product, chips and a hot dog and a T-shirt. Dinner, a Fever shirt, and a ball game all for one low price — does it get any better?

Well, maybe if you could win it! We’re giving away a 4-pack of family night tickets right here. To enter, simply leave us a comment here and tell me what you love about the Fever. (Then head over to the Best! Summer! EVER! page for a chance to win even more tickets to the best summer fun in Indy.)
